Slow work on park irks residents
If there is one area where local bodies in the suburbs can be said to be on a par with the Chennai Corporation, it is in developing new parks and renovating old ones. However, the slow pace of renovation of a century-old park in West Tambaram has irked residents.
According to Tambaram municipality officials, the local body took up the work on January 28 at a cost of Rs 48.50 lakh under the Community Based Environmental Scheme 2010-11.
