THE Malinga brothers spent the previous two seasons on the outskirts of the basketball spotlight. This season, Henry and particularly Eric Malinga are back in the centre and the Kyambogo Warriors are cashing in, dominating the FUBA men’s top-flight.
Thanks to the duo, Kyambogo banked their eighth victory in nine games with a 79-70 defeat of the Miracle Eagles Friday night at the YMCA.
Eric sunk a game-high 19 points and Henry added 18 to guide Mande Juruni’s team past a Miracle side that stretched them to the very end. Steven Omony led Miracle with 18 points while Francis Tumusiime provided a welcome reminder of his amazing ability with 17 points.
